We have been cultivating partnerships to offer you more information than ever before. We are joining forces with Eat Smart WNY, Grassroots Gardens of WNY, Jericho Road Community Health Center, and Urban Roots Garden Center to connect you with growers, dieticians, nutritionists, chefs, farmers, and more. This three part series will cover the ways in which good nutrition can positively impact your health with realistic and delicious ways to incorporate into your everyday life. These events are pay-what-you-can with a suggested donation of $5.

The Nature of Memory Writing Workshop with MAP Alum Erin Sharkey
Observing natural patterns and phenomena can help us make meaning of our lives, even in urban spaces. In this free writing workshop, we will consider the natural systems and patterns that ripple through our experiences, inscribing them. Participants will generate new writing and have a chance to share with other members of the class if they desire. Open to all, no writing experience required.
A Hands On Approach to Fundamental Cooking Skills presented by Eat Smart WNY
Build up your kitchen knowledge and learn to cook with our hands on cooking series. We will teach fundamental cooking skills including knife handling, affordable ways to shop and stock your cupboards, how to healthfully add and build flavors and finish with simple ways to plan meals on a budget. Each class we will make a fun and easy recipe to enjoy. These events are FREE and everyone is welcome to join.

Grow Your Own Produce Series with MAP Farm Manager Katie Pfohl
In this nine-part series, you will learn what to do in your garden, month by month, to successfully grow your own produce. We will walk through the season together. From small container gardens, to larger backyards, we will do everything from planning and mapping a garden, to harvesting and preserving vegetables. Specific to your own space, problems, and our climate zone, this class is catered to you and the group of beginning gardeners who will join you in learning how to grow your own produce.
