Please Support MAP’s 2014 Bowl-A-Rama!

We need your help to raise money for an organization we all know and love!  On February 9th, Massachusetts Avenue Project (MAP) is hosting its annual Bowl-A-Rama fundraiser to benefit our programs… There are two ways you can participate:

1.) First, you can sponsor the Bowl-A-Rama by making a pledge.  A typical pledge is around $30, but you can pledge any amount, more or less.   We hope to raise $8,000 this year!

To sponsor Bowl-A-Rama, you can either:

  • Pay online with a credit card or through PayPal, by clicking on our donate webpage.  Click the donate link, and make sure to include “Pledge for Bowl-A-Rama” in the note.
  • Or, write a check, made payable to “Massachusetts Avenue Project”, and send to 271 Grant Street, Buffalo, NY 14213.  Please write “Pledge for Bowl-A-Rama” in the memo line of your check.

2.) Or, you can collect your own sponsors and join us.  We believe in the “more the merrier” philosophy and we’d love to have you bowl with us! We ask that you consider a goal of raising $150 in pledges.  Please collect your pledges and RSVP to Rebekah by Wednesday, February 5th, so we can make sure we reserve enough lanes.  Your shoes and lane costs will be covered.  Rebekah can be reached via phone at (716) 882-5327 x 6 or by email at

MAP Growing Green employs 40-50 Buffalo youth each year, and teaches them about healthy eating and accessing fresh local food, as well as farming, sustainable food production, and social enterprise.  We provide youth with employment, while providing education, training and healthy food to people all over Buffalo.

In a City where the graduation rate is an appalling 47% (25% for African-American males), for the last 5 years, participants in our program have had a 95% graduation rate and all of these young people have gone on to college.  Please help us raise money to underwrite MAP’s awesome programs!

Thank you so much for considering this request.  We would not exist without the support of people like you.
