The Crossroads Collective is hosting a May Day celebration this Sunday,
including a PUPPET PAGEANT, FREE SKATE PARTY & FOOD FROM THE WEST SIDE BAZAAR!
Join us on Sunday, May 7 from 2-5pm for Buffalo May Day 2017 to celebrate our shared vision for a just and vibrant economy. In today’s political climate, it is increasingly critical that we come to together to create a new economy founded on workers’ rights, responsible management of resources, democratic decision-making, sacredness, the arts, and equity for all people. What better way to celebrate this vision than with May Day—an international holiday honoring working folks?!
This year, Buffalo will host May Day with two day-long puppet-making workshops (in which community members bring this regenerative economy to life) followed by a parade, rally, and skate party on May 7 from 2-5pm. Puppet-making workshops will take place on April 23 (at the WASH Project) and April 30 (at the Foundry) from 10am-5pm. Folks from all walks of life are invited to participate, and all events will be free to the public.
