Dear friends, please help…

Rebekah Williams here!  Myself and three MAP youth employees have been awarded a scholarship to attend the Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Working Group (NESAWG) conference in Saratoga Springs next week, but we need your help to get there.

A foundation has awarded us each a $150 scholarship, for a total of $600.  Now we are working on raising the additional $957 for hotel and travel costs.  CLICK HERE to visit the MAP paypal account and include NESAWG in the notes field.

We hope you will donate a few dollars to help myself, Dillon Hill, Khadijah Hussein, and Donacion Nibarutu to get there.  There are multiple ways to donate, the easiest method may be to make a donation on the MAP paypal account and include “NESAWG” in the notes field.

CLICK HERE to learn more about Dillon, Khadijah and Donacion, and why they were chosen from amongst our fifteen youth employees.

This is an amazing opportunity!  NESAWG is a 12-state network of over 500 participating organizations.  Their mission is to unite farm and food system practitioners and allies to build a sustainable, just and economically vibrant region in the Northeastern United States.  Their main audience is the practitioners in the trenches, working on farm and food issues from any angle.  So, the conference is right in line with what we do here at MAP, especially related to economic development and policy work.  CLICK HERE to learn more about NESAWG.

The conference is taking place next week, Monday through Wednesday.  I sincerely hope you will help us get there.

All it will take is a few dollars from each of our friends, and we can make this trip happen.  You can either donate online or contact me to make a donation at (716) 882-5327 x6 or by email at Rebekah (at)

Thank you for your time and attention, and for considering helping us out.  We hope next time we see  you we will be able to tell you all about the excellent learning experience we had thanks to you.

Thanks and with warm regards,
