It’s time for New York state to act on climate!

Climate change is devastating our communities, and working New Yorkers face some of the worst hardships. With Congress refusing to act, it is up to states — particularly New York — to lead the way.

MAP Growing Green is proud to be a part of NY Renews, an unprecedented statewide coalition emerging in New York state to fight for climate policies grounded in equity and justice for communities and working people.

On Wednesday, December 16th at 6pm, there will be campaign kickoff events in both New York City and Buffalo. Can you join community, labor, and environmental leaders and hundreds of supporters in Buffalo and NYC as we announce our plan to renew New York?

Here are the details:

Buffalo (RSVP here)
Wednesday December 16, 6:00 pm
Tralf Music Hall
622 Main Street, Buffalo NY 14202

New York City (RSVP here)
Wednesday December 16, 6:00 pm
First Corinthian Baptist Church
1912 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd, New York, NY
(at 116th St, near 2/3 or B/C trains)

Spurred by Hurricane Sandy, the People’s Climate March, Governor Cuomo’s ban on fracking, and other recent watershed moments, we’re joining community-based organizations, environmental justice groups, labor unions, faith groups, business leaders, and other advocates to work together to ensure New York achieves ambitious and far-reaching climate solutions.

We’re excited to be a part of this campaign. Can you join us to help kick it off on Wednesday?
