On October 3, join local chefs from some of Buffalo’s favorite restaurants and Buffalo Public School students as they compete in the second annual Buffalo Farm to School Chef Challenge to develop new menu ideas for the Buffalo Public School’s Harvest of the Month initiative. The Buffalo Farm to School program’s goals are to introduce more fresh, locally grown produce in school lunches and to encourage healthy eating habits in students.
The event will be held at the Waterfront Elementary School on 95 Fourth St, in the cafeteria from 4-6:30pm. Admission is free and open to parents, staff, students of Buffalo Public Schools.
